The fourth Seoul Open Art Fair is here with the participation of some 1,200 artists and 80 galleries. Over 5,500 artworks made up of paintings, sculptures, media art, engraving and more will be displayed. Some of the highlights of the art fair include exhibition of “Culturenomics” in which one artist sponsored by one company display their work. The art fair also invited some of the celebrity artists like Kim Hye-soo and Shim Eun-ha and installed art furniture (chairs) in various corners. The event is to provide a full picture of the latest trend in modern art.

The Korea International Art Fair, held at COEX., is a special project organized by the Galleries Association of
Korea with the purpose to enhance the cultural exchange and the globalization
of the Art Market.
KIAF Operation Committee is in charge of the operational procedures of the Art Fair. The Committee will screen the participating galleries based on fair and strict criteria, and select potential galleries with good projects to participate in this show on invitation basis. |
